The markets served by OXBOW value our services for their integrity. Critical to this is the need to recognize any potential conflicts of interest in the services provided and to take action to ensure that these do not adversely impact on the impartiality, independence and objectivity our actions.

OXBOW will identify, analyze and document the possibilities for conflict of interests arising from provision of certification including any conflicts arising from its relationships via a risk assessment matrix and risk assessment procedure. Having relationships does not necessarily present OXBOW with a conflict of interest, However, if any relationship creates a threat to impartiality, OXBOW will document and be able to demonstrate how it eliminates or minimizes such threats. This information will be made available to the impartiality committee. The demonstration will cover all potential sources of conflict of interests that are identified, weather they arise from within OXBOW or from the activities of other persons, bodies or organizations and will be demonstrated in risk assessment matrix.Where threats of impartiality are identified the provisions to eliminate or minimize such threats are documented along with data demonstrating their on-going effectiveness. This analysis is reviewed by OXBOW’s top management and impartiality committee as part of OXBOW’s management system as per the requirements of ISO 17021-1:2015.
